Artist Feature
High energy, passion, and a whole lotta talent: that's what we find every time we turn on a song from Feed The Beat newcomers Oxymorrons. These New Yorkers have been criss-crossing the country with their powerful jams and their desire to make something incredibly special. While they're out on the road for their self-proclaimed Geeked Out headlining tour, the Oxymorrons crew took a few minutes to answer some burning questions we had about them, their music, and what's coming next:
Tell the Feed The Beat community about Oxymorrons in one sentence: If Rage Against The Machine was the backing band for OutKast.
You've been releasing some killer tracks over the last few weeks - tell us a little about them! Over the past few months we have released "I Feel Better" and "Hello Me" - with a remix to the latter which we perform live. Our most recent single, "I Feel Better," was created after we persevered through a tough time in our lives and we wanted to write about that experience to celebrate the feeling.
What is your biggest "must have" when you're out on tour? Our biggest must have on tour is an auxiliary cable for our SUV. We play tons of music and everyone gets to be DJ with their own special play list!
It seems that the live show you all put on is always so energetic and passionate. What is your favorite part of performing, and getting to play your music for new audiences? Our favorite part of performing is watching new crowds go from not know who we are, to raging it out with us by the second song. We enjoy partying and having fun with the people. We believe as entertainers it's our jobs to put on a show and keep people happy. So that's what we do, we give our all.
What does the rest of 2016 look like? Will there be more tour dates and new music coming our way? 2016 looks amazing we are plying more festivals, working on a huge fall tour and planning to release an EP. We will have a web store set up with new merch at Oxymorrons.com and doing tons of fun giveaways via our socials @Oxymorrons.
