Artist Feature

If you're not already familiar with Against the Current, now is definitely a good time to do so. These three friends from upstate New York have circled the world and back again on the release of two EP's and they're not slowing down anytime soon - it seems that their debut album may not be too far off! In the middle of touring overseas (which sounds SO COOL), they chatted with us about where they've been and where they're going:

Tell the Feed The Beat community about Against The Current in one sentence: You can't put us in a box, we're a mix of different influences and styles creating music we love.

In 2015, you released your second EP, Gravity, signed to Fueled By Ramen, and toured a ton - pretty awesome year! What moments really stick out so far? It was definitely amazing! Some of the moments that were the most significant were definitely signing to FBR, opening up in an arena in Japan & our insane sold out London show that had confetti cannons among other things.

What is your biggest "must have" while out on tour? Back up iPhone charger.

The band has been overseas for the last few weeks - is this the first time you're visiting some of these countries? Are you looking forward to coming back to North America and criss-crossing the country once again? In Asia, we had been to most of the countries already except for Japan and Thailand but on mainland Europe we hadn't been to any of the countries outside the UK yet so it was amazing. Definitely looking forward to being back in the homeland! It's just more comfortable when everything is very familiar to us.

With the release of your new single "Outsiders," are your fans right in hoping that we'll be hearing more new music from ATC soon? Yes! We just finished our debut album and it's on it's way.
