About the Artist
ROAM are a five piece pop punk band from Eastbourne, UK, who have been working hard since forming in November 2012 to solidify themselves as one of the most exciting bands in their genre.November 2013 saw the band release the EP 'Head Down,' via DIY label Pinky Swear Records (of which lead single 'Head Rush' has maxed 175K views on YouTube) which quickly became a favourite among the underground pop punk scene and catapulted the band into a hectic touring schedule, playing all across the UK and Europe alongside bands such as Enter Shikari, Neck Deep, Tonight Alive, Man Overboard, The Wonder Years, Real Friends, State Champs, A Loss For Words, New Politics, Me Vs Hero + many more.July 2014 saw the band conduct their first ever headline tour, playing to 1500 people in just over a week across the UK; which was followed with entering the studio with Drew Lawson (Bring Me The Horizon, While She Sleeps, Me Vs Hero) and Seb Barlow (Neck Deep) to record new material. From said sessions, the EP "Viewpoint" was born, and is set for release on 27th January 2015 via US label Hopeless Records, making ROAM only the 2nd UK band to ever sign a worldwide deal with the label. Lead single "Warning Sign" was the first taste of the EP for fans to hear, released almost exactly 12 months after "Head Down" came out; followed by a lyric video for "Over Your Head" before the band celebrated with 3 UK release shows, concluding at London's Barfly, before heading to the States for their debut US tour as part of Glamour Kills Spring Break with Set It Off, Against The Current + As It Is. Upon return, the band spent a month in Europe and UK supporting Man Overboard, before creating an inflatable induced crowd surfing storm at their debut Slam Dunk Festival performance in May.Summer 2015 saw the band partake in various festival appearances (Download, 2000 Trees, Jera On Air) plus large European shows with both All Time Low and Enter Shikari; before finish up their as debut album, with Drew Lawson at the helm once again. Throughout September and October, the band took part in their biggest UK and Europe tour to date with State Champs and Knuckle Puck which largely sold out across the board, before taking to London's 10,000 capacity Alexandra Palace for Vans Warped Tour UK, followed by their first co-headline stint across the States, with Handguns; bringing Broadside and Sudden Suspension along for the ride too; ending a very productive 2015 in style.22nd January 2016 will see the band release their highly anticipated debut album 'Backbone,' with lead single 'Deadweight' (featuring Matt Wilson from Set Your Goals) already going down an absolute storm with fans. Plans for 2016 are already under way and it doesn't look set to be a quiet one.
