About the Artist
Shortly is Detroit native Alex Maniak. Her debut single the haunting “Matthew" was self released and introduced the world to Maniak’s confessional storytelling and heartbreaking vulnerability in 2016. In a short time the buzz earned her spots on bills with The Decemberists, Phoebe Bridgers and Mitski throughout the Mid-West. Its no wonder that the Detroit Metro Times sings her praises 12 Detroit Bands To Watch in 2018
