Artist Bio

Two Friends is the musical creation of longtime companions Matt Halper and Eli Sones. The duo’s fitting name is a reflection of their lifelong bond as both musical collaborators and best friends. From humble beginnings as high school bedroom producers growing up in Los Angeles to settling into stardom status, Two Friends have quickly become one of the most in-demand acts within the electronic dance-pop space. Two Friends are pioneering an artistic identity that is simultaneously relatable as it drives fans to the dance floor. Collaborating with top talent in both dance and pop music such as Bebe Rexha, Fitz of Fitz and The Tantrums, Russell Dickerson, Mod Sun, and Bryce Vine, Matt and Eli are also a true testament of a longstanding personal and professional partnership. On a mission to curate a culture around the Two Friends project, they boast authentic, inclusive and nostalgic vibes. With fans at the epicenter of their success, they take pride in engaging with them both at shows and across their social media platforms.

Masters of the remix, the duo exploded into the global dance music landscape with their viral remixes of The Killers’ “Mr. Brightside,” Blink 182’s “I Miss You,” and their award-winning Big Bootie Mix series. These mixes have become a staple in the duo’s musical outputs.  Amassing millions of streams across YouTube and SoundCloud per installment, the Big Bootie Mix series has become the soundtrack to many a good-night-out across 10 years of regular releases. With fans often counting down the days until their next, the debut live streams of recent mixes have sold tens of thousands of tickets from Two Friends devotees.  In 2022, the band created their very own festival, Big Bootie Land, for the premiere of a new Big Bootie Mixes in a different city every year. Always innovating on efforts past, the premieres have even incorporated original characters and storylines as imagined by Matt and Eli.

Testaments to their intricately-produced live sets, Two Friends have headlined and sold out  iconic venues such as Red Rocks in Denver, Forest Hills Stadium in New York, Huntington Bank Pavillion at Northerly Island in Chicago, and more on their 2023 tour, ‘Planet Two Friends,’ kicking off with their Coachella debut. The pair also boast a coveted residency at the Wynn’s XS Nightclub and Encore Beach club, bringing their signature sound to the Las Vegas strip, as well as residencies at HQ2 Nightclub + Beachclub in Atlantic City, NJ and LIV Nightclub in Miami, FL, which is heralded as one of the top nightclubs in the world.
