About the Artist

Anxious's second album, Bambi, is a reflection of the band’s personal and artistic evolution. Born from internal tensions, relentless touring, and doubts about the future, the record represents a turning point. The name "Bambi" started as a joking regret about their band name but grew into a symbol of what the band could become.

Following the success of their debut Little Green House, Anxious faced burnout and uncertainty. Vocalist Grady Allen considered leaving the band to return to school, creating tension within the group. However, renewed energy from touring and a desire to push their creative boundaries led to the writing of Bambi. The album merges the band’s hardcore/emo roots with alternative rock ambition, influenced by artists like Blink-182 and Jimmy Eat World.

Produced by Brett Romnes, Bambi showcases emotional vulnerability, varied instrumentation, and matured songwriting. Tracks like “Counting Sheep” and “I’ll Be Around” highlight themes of disillusionment, friendship, and growth, with dual vocalists Grady Allen and Dante Melucci sharing deeply personal lyrics. Despite the pressures of life on the road and internal challenges, Bambi proves Anxious’s resilience and artistic progression.
