About the Artist

Since 2019, SPEED have stood on the frontlines of the Australian Hardcore renaissance, quickly taking their mission worldwide. Driven by a community-first ethos and messages of inclusivity, compassion and unity; SPEED deliver no-frills anthems that draw from their own grassroots scene in Sydney, Australia and the classic New York Hardcore sound.
Following a handful of demos and hyped hometown shows, their 'Gang Called Speed' EP dropped in 2022 and debuted at #5 on the ARIA charts, earning praise from The Fader, NME and Rolling Stone. The band went on to sell out two national tours across Australia, also performing in the United States, Canada, UK, Europe, South-East Asia and Japan; including sizable festival stages at Sound & Fury, Copenhell and Jera On Air. Their high-intensity live show has earned SPEED a notorious reputation onstage, with footage of their performances consistently going viral online.
Alongside their songs and music videos, SPEED also release documentaries that explore the diverse music communities they encounter on tour, giving greater insight into how Hardcore exists across the globe. With a debut album slated for release in 2024, SPEED will continue to champion Australian Hardcore without compromise.
