About the Artist

Born December 2, 2002, SSGKobe—real name Tyreek Solomon Pellerin, is an American rapper, singer and songwriter from Lafayette, Louisiana. He started making music in 2018 at just 14 years old. SSGKobe then started posting music to SoundCloud and garnered the attention of thousands of listeners not just locally, but globally. With the ability to transcend genres, from hip-hop to R&B to even pop, SSGKobe's sound is inspired by the greats such Juice WRLD, XXXTentacion, and Billie Eilish.

SSGKobe’s name pays homage to his favorite basketball player Kobe Bryant, while the SSG stands for Super Saiyan God from Dragon Ball Z. After recording his very first song on his mothers iPhone 6, transferring it to FL Studio and lacing it with autotune, the rest was history.

At just 15 years old, labels were already keeping close eyes on the Louisiana native. Eventually a highly recognized influencer by the name of Zack Bia was able to propel SSGKobe into the world of fame using his creative direction. The song Calabasas featuring $NOT premiered on Lyrical Lemonade now at over 10 million streams. He performed at the world’s largest hip-hop festival, Rolling Loud Miami in 2021. Fast forward to 2022, Kobe unleashes his newest single and visual called “Don’t Miss,” following his previous bangers “MIA” (directed by Cole Bennett), “F## EM” with Lil Yachty, “ESCAPE YOUR LOVE”, and “4AM FREESTYLE.”
