About the Artist
The Bends have impressively completed a quiet grind from impromptu jam sessions in the dorms of Louisiana State University (LSU) to packing venues, generating millions of streams, and surging on radio since their formation in 2023. For a modern band, their story proves to be romantically old school in the best way as they reimagine the sound of early 2000s garage rock with catchy choruses and stage ferociousness. Childhood buddies—Ian Marmande [guitar] and Jacob Rhodes [drums]—initially crossed paths with Hayden Field [vocals] and Chase Perkins [bass] at college. Drawing from the same well of inspiration, the guys nodded to influences as diverse as Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Strokes, and Kings Of Leon, crafting an anthemic and intricate sound of their own by playing together for hours on end.
